Dawn of the world
When I first visited the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, I felt compelled to paint it and try and capture the feeling I had when I first set eyes on this otherworldly looking landscape. Depicting it at dawn, when it was illuminated by the first rays of sunshine in the absolute silence seemed most fitting for a place that looks as old as the world itself.
