Exhibition: Ecosse - mondes sauvages

Although 2022 didn’t go easy on us, I will forever remember it as the year of my first exhibition. I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to exhibit in Orleans from the 18th of December to the 21st of January.

Scotland Art exhibition in France

The exhibition was entirely dedicated to the wild beauty of Scotland, its vast majestic landscapes and vistas, incredible colours and fantastic games of textures.

To better illustrate all of its aspects, I chose to include both oil paintings and lino prints. While nothing can better show the depth and impactful colour and light than traditional oil, I fell like the simplification of lino print really brings the attention of the viewer towards the different textures that the Scottish Highlands have to offer.

Any exhibition is, of course, a brilliant opportunity for an artist to make his or her work better known by the public but what I loved most about it was the moment of shared love for Scotland and art. It was a magical moment to talk to kindred spirits and be able to answer their questions about my sources of inspiration, the different techniques and the fantastic trips to Scotland I was lucky to have experienced.

I’m just so terribly happy that everyone came and am still overwhelmed by the positive feedback I got. It is funny how against all odds I’ve come this far and I feel very lucky and privileged for having benefitted from so much support and patience from my family and friends who never stopped believing in me and my work and who pushed me to never give up on the road. I thank everyone who helped making my childhood dream possible and hope that this will be one big step towards other beautiful events like this one happening.
