Inverness Standing Stones
We may never know for sure what purpose these stone circles served, but they certainly fascinate many artists, sculptors, painters, architects, writers and musicians. Rooted in ancient history, this modern art closing the artistic circle.
While this design is not an exact representation, setting the standing stone in a woodland scene, it is based on one of the Standing Stones of Inverness I had the privilege of seeing with my own eyes in 2018.
Every print is numbered and signed. This is a limited edition of 50 prints.
The design is drawn by hand straight onto the lino block, then carefully carved out of it, inked with a roller before finally being printed onto a selected luxury Japanese paper by hand using a baren.
Please beware that all prints are individually hand printed and will therefore have each minor variations and imperfections - this is part of the magic of lino printing!
